Things I’ve built.
Each project gets written up while it’s fresh — what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently next time. Click any card to read the full build log.

Table Saw Upgrade
Rebuilt a Powermatic 66 with new bearings, fresh paint, a 3 HP motor, custom storage, outfeed table, router table extension, improved dust collection, and upgraded fence and miter system. Now runs like a brand‑new saw.
Wall Clock
Added a battery‑backup power system to an old factory pulse clock so it keeps perfect time even during outages. Built a regulated 6‑volt supply with automatic switchover between AC power and battery.
Sleigh Rebuild
A full restoration of an antique sleigh using the original pieces as patterns. Most wood was replaced, all metal was refinished, and the rebuilt sleigh was painted, upholstered, and detailed to match the period style.
Solar Kiln
A 28×24 storage building with a 12×12 solar kiln built in 2008. Started alone after help fell through, then completed with a contractor neighbor. Fully insulated, sealed, and automated with PLC, Arduino sensors, and a Raspberry Pi monitor to control temperature, humidity, vents, and fan speed.
Chess Board
A custom reversible chess and backgammon board made from walnut and sycamore. Built as a gift for my boss returning to England, using modified plans, spline‑joined strips and a Danish Oil Finish.
Montessori
Custom Montessori toys built for my niece in 2008. Made with biscuit joinery for durability and finished with child‑safe milk paint. Designed to withstand drops, throws, and daily use while adding bright, non‑toxic color.
Pantry Rebuild
Custom rebuild of an awkward pantry with new 8" shelves and a hickory canning‑jar unit. The upgrade doubled storage, made everything visible, and allowed me to organize both my items and the things I kept from my mother. A future Murphy‑style spice door will add even more usable space.
